Police: Boy's father allegedly pushed his younger sister into his car, got in and fled

Spencer Stone reports on a bizarre event that happened at the Minnesota State Fair where a mother and child reportedly "swung about" and crashed their car.

According to Fox 5 News, "a boy's father and a woman have been arrested on child endangerment charges after their daughter, who was playing in the crowd, allegedly struck her older sister in the head and slammed her head into the hood of the driver-side of a passing vehicle."

The mother reportedly received a concussion, but her daughter suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. "It was hard to believe that all of this happened to a little girl sitting in a car and this was a three-day fair."

Minnesota State Fair spokeswoman Natalie Besser told the station that the girl, whose name has not been released because of the age of the victim, was a minor at the time of the crash. "She was hit with a blunt object that was going to slam her head in, which knocked her into the car," Besser told the station.

"This is totally out of the ordinary for the fair," Besser said. "We're not just dealing with people with bad judgment, that's just not the Minnesota State Fair."

The driver, who has not been identified by the police, allegedly pulled up alongside a vehicle after an erdogan was spotted at the parking area. The driver apparently pulled over to talk with the erdogan but the boy allegedly pushed the erdogan in his car and escaped.

Minnesota State Fair spokeswoman Natalie Besser told the station that the driver "was in the driver's seat of the vehicle" and told police the driver, who was "a minor, was trying to talk with the erdogan and the driver apparently tried to get away and hit him."

"It was clearly not a happy story, but it sounds like the boy's dad did not want to hear it," she added. "The father has now been charged with child endangerment."

"I don't know what will happen with this," Besser told the station, adding that she did not have any information regarding the other possible charges against the boy's father.

"I can tell you that we would recommend that anyone who witnesses such an incident, to contact the child welfare hotline at 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-273-TALK) or to go to the National Center for Victims of Crime to seek resources for their family and loved ones."

"It's hard to get away from this," she concluded.
